Internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro is noted for his immersive site-specific installations that employ light to evoke an emotional response, often in an outdoor context and on a monumental scale. His Field of Light, inspired by a trip to Uluru over 27 years ago, is installed in a remote desert area within sight of majestic Uluru. It is his largest installation to date, with Munro and his team installing more than 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted-glass spheres. It is truly a magical sight to behold.

Feel the inspiring magnitude of the vast night sky, the overwhelming presence of the majestic rock. As darkness falls and Uluru is thrown into silhouette, field of light illuminates. As far as the eye can see gentle rhythms of colour light up the desert.

The Field of Light Star Pass experience begins with a convenient hotel pick-up and transfer to the remote desert location with majestic views of Uluru. A knowledgeable host will provide guests with insights and background to the art installation. Guests are welcomed at a raised viewing area from which they can watch as the last sun rays hit Uluru as the sun slowly sets behind them while indulging in sparkling wine, beers & canapés. As darkness gradually falls and the coloured lights of the glass spheres come to life guests are invited to walk through and interact with Field of Light.
