Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrive in Uluru - Field of Light Star Pass

Welcome to the Red Centre and Australia's spiritual heartland. Uluru is the perfect setting for an adventure in the outback. Upon arrival transfer from the airport to your hotel accommodation and check-in at 3:00 pm.

Before your first tour begins, take part in the resort's Free Activities such as Spear and Boomerang Throwing, Interactive Didgeridoo Playing, Cultural Dances, Bush Yarns, Kids Indigenous Art Classes & more.

The “Field of Light” experience begins 30 minutes prior to sunset with a convenient hotel pick-up and short transfer to the remote desert location with majestic views of Uluru. You’re welcomed at an exclusive dune top just after the sun has set on the horizon. Savour a selection of outback canapes with sparkling wine or beer as your host provides insight into the light installation that awaits you. As darkness falls, 50,000 glass spheres gently come to life. Covered under a sky brilliant with stars, the “Field of Light” beckons you to explore and lose yourself momentarily in the rhythms of coloured light.

Sound of Silence Dinner - Upgrade

You may wish to upgrade your tour to include the Sounds of Silence Dinner for an extra $170 per person. Entered into the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame, the “Sounds of Silence” offers the best of the Red Centre distilled into four magical hours.

This exclusive dining experience combines the award-winning ‘Sounds of Silence’ dinner under the outback sky with the once-in-a-lifetime Field of Light art installation.

With magnificent views of Uluru at sunset, a three-course bush tucker menu, premium selection of Australian wines and beers, fascinating star talk and a self-guided walk through the Field of Light art installation, your ‘A Night at Field of Light’ experience is complete.

Day 2:

Morning - Uluru Sunrise and Kata Tjuta Tour.

You will be picked up this morning, 90 minutes before sunrise, from your accommodation. The early rise is well worth it as you experience the two major landmarks in Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park. Start with an amazing sunrise at Talinguru Nyakunytaku, the Uluru (Ayers Rock) sunrise viewing area. Watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight while enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee and biscuits.

Afterwards, on the 45 kms drive to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) your Driver Guide will provide you with an historical overview of the National Park. On the way, enjoy panoramic views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta, before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta and won’t disappoint as you’re led into a world of rare plant species and lush evergreen scrubs.

You will return to your accommodation late morning before noon.

Day 2:

Afternoon - Uluru Sacred Sites and Sunset Tour

After some lunch and rest at the resort you will be picked up mid-afternoon to start your “Uluru Sacred Sites and Sunset” Tour. Travel in the comfort of your coach around the base of Uluru with your Driver Guide who will provide details on its incredible history. You’ll be fascinated by the Aboriginal stories that go back many thousands of years. Learn the significance of ancient Aboriginal rock art, about the area’s flora and fauna, and culture of its traditional owners, the Anangu. Your day concludes with a spectacular sunset at Uluru.

Upgrade your afternoon tour to include the outback BBQ dining experience for an additional $145 per person.

Departs: Daily 2.30pm (Apr-Oct) and 3.00pm (Nov-Mar) from Ayers Rock Resort

Day 3: Camel to Sunrise Tour and Depart Uluru

Last Day to rise early and make the absolute most of your outback holiday as you watch the sunrise from the back of a camel. Return to the Resort to check-out and get ready for your departure, leaving with memories that will last a lifetime.

You will be picked up from your accommodation one hour prior to sunrise for your Camel to Sunrise tour.

Breathe in the crisp morning air as you ride your friendly camel for one hour through the desert landscape as dawn breaks over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. This dromedary adventure sees you meandering through the rich red sands atop a curious camel. It is the perfect place from which to watch Uluru and Kata Tjuta bask in ever-changing light and colours as the sun slowly rises as you learn about the flora and fauna along the trail from your knowledgeable cameleer.

After your ride, enjoy our famous freshly baked beer bread damper with quandong jam and a cup of billy tea or coffee before returning to your accommodation.



10:00: Refresh and check out of your hotel. Before you leave, be sure to check out one of the many art galleries across the Resort, and purchase a souvenir to take home with you.

Complimentary Airport Transfer. Coach transfers depart from your hotel approximately two hours before scheduled flight time. Check your flight and transfer pick-up schedules which will be on display in the lobby of your hotel.
